Welcome to Cliptick ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Cliptick (the "Application"). Please read this privacy policy carefully.
2. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide Directly
User Content: To generate videos, we collect the content you provide, including the text prompts and the images you upload. This content is the core input for our AI generation feature.
b) Information We Collect Automatically
Anonymous Identifiers: We use Supabase Anonymous Authentication to create a unique, anonymous User ID for you. This ID is not linked to your real-world identity (like your name or email) but helps us distinguish your account and data from others.
Device and Usage Information: Through services like OneSignal, we may collect your device type, operating system, IP address, and a push notification token to send you alerts (e.g., when your video is ready).
Purchase Information: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. We collect information about the products you purchase, but we do not process or store your payment card details. All payment transactions are handled by Apple's App Store.
3. A Note on Face Data
Our "Image to Video" feature allows you to upload photos that may contain faces. We want to be specific about what is collected, how it is used, and how long it persists.
What Face Data We Collect: When you upload an image, we receive the pixel data of that photo (including any faces in the frame) plus minimal technical metadata required to render your request. We do not derive or store facial templates, faceprints, or any other biometric identifiers.
How We Use Face Data:
- To animate the photo exactly as you requested and return the resulting video.
- To run automated safety checks provided by our processing partner so that harmful or policy-violating content can be blocked.
We do not reuse the image or any facial information for model training, advertising, personalization, or identity verification.
Sharing and Storage: The uploaded image is transmitted to our rendering partner, fal.ai, solely so they can produce the video on our behalf. We do not store face data or the source image in our own Supabase databases—only request metadata such as your prompt, selected model, and duration is saved. fal.ai keeps the image and intermediate files inside their secure, access-controlled processing environment and does not make them available to other third parties.
Retention: fal.ai automatically deletes the source image and any frame data once the render job is complete. The generated video remains temporarily available in fal.ai's storage for approximately 7 days so you have time to download it, after which it is permanently removed.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Provide and Manage the Service: To process your text and image inputs to create AI-generated videos.
To Manage Your Account: To maintain your anonymous user account, credit balance, and created video history.
To Process Transactions: To manage your subscriptions and access to premium features via RevenueCat.
To Send Notifications: To inform you about the status of your video generations through push notifications via OneSignal.
To Improve Our Application: To understand how users interact with our Application and to make improvements.
5. How We Share Your Information
We only share your information with third-party service providers essential for delivering our services:

6. Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary:
User Content (Prompts and Images): Sent to fal.ai for video generation and deleted from their servers after processing is complete. We do not store the source image itself in our Supabase databases—only request metadata that excludes the image pixels.
Generated Videos: Your generated videos are stored on our processing partner's servers, fal.ai, for approximately 7 days to allow you time to download them. After this period, the videos are permanently deleted. We do not store generated videos on our own servers.
Account Information: Your anonymous user ID and associated data are retained as long as you continue to use the application.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and administrative security measures to protect your information. However, please be aware that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
Our application is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
